Hope instead of Fear

Have No Fear Little Flock, for God will give you the Kingdom.

Those are pretty amazing words. However, I wonder if knowing that God has given us the kingdom of God, will that quell our fears that seem so prevalent in today’s world? What does it mean for God to have given us the Kingdom?

It means we and all people are recipients of God’s love and God’s healing power even when we can’t feel that love. Living in God’s promised love, allows us to live in hope and not in fear.

May you, this week and always, live in God’s hope and not in the world’s fear.

If you have a prayer request or wish to have a conversation, please email me at pastor@stmatthews-elca.org or call at 17-292-1338.

God’s blessings and my prayers,
Pastor Lesley

We Are Reconciling in Christ

We believe that when we say all are welcome to Christ’s table, that all are in fact welcome, no matter their race, ethnicity, nationality or who they love.
