Service & Outreach Opportunities

“Proclaiming the Love of God for All People” is not just a slogan at St. Matthew’s, it’s central to what we do. We seek to be the church for all people, regardless of where they are in their journey, and encourage them as they take the next steps on their own pathway of discipleship. All of our outreach ministries and programs are developed with that in mind. Kelly Riddle, St. Matthew’s Community Engagement Coordinator, uplifts organizations that need help in various ways. She lets the congregation know about giving and volunteer opportunities for places like Fort Worth’s Welman Project, Laundry Love, and volunteering at Woodway Elementary School with their Academy 4 and Woodway Reads programs.

Ready, Set, Go Center Summer Camps

St. Matthew’s offers free summer camps through our Ready, Set, Go! Center. In 2025, we held camps for cooking, musical theater, and art. The camps are led by adults with many years of experience in each of these fields. To learn what’s being planned next year, in Spring 2026, you may contact Kelly Riddle, St. Matthew’s Community Engagement Coordinator, via email at community@stmatthews-elca.org or by phone at 817-292-1338.

Neighborhood Needs

Open on Tuesdays and Saturdays 10-11:30 a.m. Neighborhood Needs Provides Food and clothing for those that need it. Volunteers from St. Matthew’s have provided support for this ministry. To learn more about volunteering, you can contact our Community Engagement Coordinator via email at community@stmatthews-elca.org or by phone at 817-292-1338.
