What to Expect When You Visit Us

WELCOME

There is always a question of what to expect when you visit a church. What you will find here is warmth and fellowship. We are glad you’re considering to worship with us or are curious about our church. All are invited to gather, worship, and serve with us.

An Invitation for you:

You are invited to join us for worship. Whether this is your first visit or you have been coming for years, you will find a friendly, welcoming community where everyone is invited to belong. We worship with lively music along with familiar liturgy. When we say all is welcome, we do mean all. All are welcome at St. Matthews.

Need help when you arrive?

Look for our greeters at the front doors. They will hand you a bulletin, answer any questions, and point out accessible entrances, restrooms, and the nursery. Don’t be shy, they are here to help.

St. Matthew’s is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. As Lutheran Christians, we believe that each and every person, at all times and in all places, is a beloved child of God for whom God’s love and grace is freely given. You never need to dress up or be anything but yourself here. No matter your age, race, or sexual orientation, we want to worship alongside you. Just bring your joy, your passion, your questions, your struggles, and join us in worship and service in God’s kingdom.
