Discover God’s Love Through Adventure, Learning, and Fun
Vacation Bible School at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church is a special opportunity for children to explore God’s love through stories, activities, music, crafts, games, and friendship. VBS creates a welcoming environment where children can learn about faith, build relationships, and experience the joy of being part of a caring Christian community.
Whether your child attends church regularly or is visiting for the first time, all are welcome to join us for a week of discovery, creativity, and fun.
What Is Vacation Bible School?
Vacation Bible School is a faith-filled program designed especially for children. Through engaging Bible stories and hands-on activities, children learn that:
- God loves them unconditionally.
- They are created and valued by God.
- Faith can be lived out through kindness, compassion, and service.
- Church is a place where everyone belongs.
As an ELCA congregation, St. Matthew’s teaches that God’s grace is a gift for all people, and we strive to make VBS a welcoming experience for every child.
What Children Can Expect
Our goal is to provide a joyful and memorable experience where children grow in faith while having fun. Each day of Vacation Bible School may include:
- Bible stories and faith exploration
- Music and singing
- Arts and crafts
- Interactive activities
- Games and recreation
- Snacks and fellowship
- Opportunities to make new friends
A Safe and Welcoming Environment
We understand that parents want to know their children are in a caring and supportive setting. We want families to feel comfortable and confident as their children participate in Vacation Bible School.
At St. Matthew’s, we strive to create an environment where every child is:
- Welcomed with kindness and respect
- Encouraged to participate and learn
- Supported by caring adults and volunteers
- Included as an important part of the church community
