St. Matthew’s Missions

For Lutherans, missions are about sharing the love and grace of God with others through service, outreach, and witnessing. Our missions are not just about converting people but living out the Gospel by helping those in need and being present in the community. Missions involve acts of kindness, support, and advocacy, reflecting God’s love for all people.

At St. Matthew’s, this includes programs like the Food Pantry, tutoring, and community engagement efforts. The goal is to embody the church’s mission statement: “Proclaiming the Love of God for All People,” by making a tangible difference in people’s lives and showing that God’s love is universal and transformative.

In addition to the food pantry, St. Matthew’s engages in various missions and outreach programs, such as:

Ready, Set, Go! Tutoring Center: Offers educational support to local students.
Neighborhood Needs: Providing food and clothing on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10-11:30 a.m., supported by volunteers from the church.
Summer Camps: Through the Ready, Set, Go! Center, the church offers free summer camps in cooking, musical theater, and art.
